About The Brand More Future Than Past
Contemporary Swiss High Watchmaking
devoted to Megawatches.
Haute Horlogerie
Traditions of the past have been cast aside in the spirit of revolution. Purnell, located on Rue du Rhône in Geneva, brings to the wrist of the few masterpieces that are beyond conventional high watchmaking.
“Exceptional watchmaking is well and alive,” says Maurizio Mazzocchi, CEO of Purnell. “After several centuries of traditional and classical watchmaking, haute horlogerie is rapidly moving into the future and its flag bearer is Purnell.”
Assuring performance in pure design, Purnell watches deliver emotion with just one glance. A dance on the wrist, the root of Purnell’s devotion.
Its avant-garde timepieces are executed to the highest standards of finishing and technique in Switzerland. Purnell’s timepieces are 100% Swiss Made, from the mirror-polished cone down to the folding clasp. Exclusivity that parallels the extreme complexity of its masterpieces.
This exclusivity comes in part to the complicated nature of Purnell’s star mechanism: the Spherion. In over 220 years since the invention of the tourbillon, nothing transformed the mechanism quite as much as Eric Coudray (2012 Winner of the Prix Gaïa) and the Spherion he invented, the World’s Fastest Triple-Axis Tourbillon.
A defining moment in the mechanism’s story, each cage of the Spherion rotates in 8, 16 and 30 seconds respectively. Motion in the service of visual artistry, the pinnacle of the tourbillon for today and tomorrow.
“I believe that watchmaking cannot stay still,” continues Mazzocchi. “I am 100% convinced that the Spherion will be iconic. Future is simply where we belong.”
